Vacant Property Maintenance

Code Enforcement Services investigates for unoccupied and unsecured structures.  The concern may be addressed by issuing a notice or by proceeding with the process to secure the easily accessible structure.  There are notification exceptions for vacant properties near a school and/or overgrowth over 48". Once a report has been submitted, the department will investigate within 2 working days. After the initial inspection, the City is required to provide property owners 10 days to address the concern. The City will work diligently to get the property into compliance within 45 working days.
