Fingerprints and Identification Services

The Identification Office provides Fingerprinting Services, Background Checks/Criminal History information (personal, employment, housing), Clearance Letters, Consulate/Immigration Letters, and Notary services.

The office is located at the Police Headquarters at 315 S. Santa Rosa San Antonio, Texas 78207, they can be reached at (210) 207-7605. The hours of operation for the background checks and fingerprints division are Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Walk-in services for fingerprinting are available from 9-3:45pm (preferred), Driver’s license or federal, state, or local government agency ID card with photograph, Military ID, U.S., or foreign passport, or USCIS Permanent Resident Card (I-551) or Employment Authorization Card (I-766) is required. All forms of payment accepted.

• Criminal History, $30 per transcript.
• Consulate/Immigration letters, $30 per letter.
• Fingerprints, $30 per card.
• Notary/Certification, $6.
• COSA Applicants, No Charge
