The fees for solid waste services are billed through CPS Energy. Garbage cart rates are based on the size of the container. There is no fee for organic or recycle containers.
Effective October 1, 2024, the new monthly rates are as follows:

*Customers who live within the City limits of San Antonio and pay the Environmental Fee on their CPS Energy Bill are eligible to use the Household Hazardous Waste, and Brush and Bulky disposal sites. Residents MUST take a current copy of their CPS bill and a picture ID with matching address, as proof of residency.
This service request is to resolve issues pertaining to billing of solid waste fees on your CPS Energy Bill. Staff will investigate the issue and if necessary, send the updated billing information to CPS Energy. A credit may be requested if the customer overpaid. This service request will be investigated and addressed within 3 working days.
For concerns regarding solid waste fees, you may submit the form below or call 311 Customer Service at 3-1-1 or 210-207-6000. 311 is available seven days a week from 7am-7pm and 8am-5pm on holidays.
