Needles should be disposed of by placing them in a secure sealed container (ex: bleach bottle, coffee can, etc.…) preferably a container that will not open easily and that cannot be penetrated by the needles. They should be disposed of in the brown garbage bin. CVS and Walgreens sell the red sharp containers for safe disposal of needles.
