The City of San Antonio Solid Waste Management’s (SWMD) Bitters Brush Drop-Off Center at 1800 Wurzbach Parkway is now for residential customers only and will no longer accept brush materials from commercial accounts. Commercial accounts include lawn care and landscaping companies, arborists and companies clearing land for development.
Commercial brush can still be dropped off at several privately owned and operated locations throughout San Antonio that beneficially reuse the brush. Solid Waste Management has confirmed the locations below, however, they may be others throughout the City.

Garden-Ville – 7561 E. Evans Rd.
Garden-Ville SARA – 1280 FM 1516
Second Nature – 8449 Nelson Rd.

The Nelson Garden/Atlas Organics Brush Recycling Center is now managed and operated by Atlas Organics. It is located at 8963 Nelson Rd, San Antonio, Texas 78252. They are open 8am-5pm, Monday thru Saturday and closed on Sundays. This facility does accept commercial loads. Their commercial rates have changed. Residents who take their CPS bill and matching ID will pay the residential rate. If not, then they will charge the commercial rate. The residential rate is for small loads, large loads are charged commercial rates even if they are residential. Please contact the facility directly for rates at (210) 319-0521.
