Solid Waste Management will repair damaged carts at no cost. City staff will assess the damage to the cart and determine if the cart can be repaired, for issues such as a cracked lid or broken wheel, and staff will perform the repair. If the cart cannot be repaired, it will be replaced. This service request will be investigated and addressed within 5 working days.
If your cart or lid is damaged, (garbage, recycling, organics), please call 311 Customer Service at 3-1-1 or 210-207-6000. 311 is available seven days a week from 7am-7pm and 8am-5pm on holidays.
The container must be empty when requesting repair or exchange due to damage.
