To request Neighborhood Lighting (Street Lights) within the City of San Antonio, please call the Office of 311 Customer Service at 311 or (210) 207-6000. The Call Center is available Monday through Sunday from 7:00am to 7:00pm.
The following information is required for a new neighborhood lighting (street light) request: Name, Phone Number, Mailing Address, Location, and block number of where the streetlight is being requested.
The City of San Antonio does not install street lights in alley ways, green belts, or drainage channels.
CPS Energy is responsible for all street light maintenance (dim lights, cracked lights, broken lights, bulb replacements, etc.) within the city limits. Residents may also submit a request for an All Night Security Light to be installed from CPS Energy. This light will be installed and maintained by CPS Energy for a monthly fee which will be added to your monthly bill. Neighborhood Lighting outside the city limits should be coordinated through Bexar County at (210) 335-6700.
For Private Subdivisions (usually gated, but not necessarily) the Homeowners Associations or Property Management Firm should contact CPS directly at 210-353-2222 to request and pay for additional streetlights.
