E-Bike Vouchers

The Office of Sustainability has launched an e-bike voucher program that will provide $1,000 vouchers to qualifying San Antonio residents.

At this time, the program will only be open to San Antonio residents that have participated within the last twelve (12) months in a CoSA Neighborhood and Housing Services Department (NHSD) income-qualified program.

How the Program Works

• Eligibility: Residents 18 and older with household incomes at or below 80% AMI can apply. OS is partnering with NHSD to target previously approved applicants to NHSD income-eligible programs.
• Voucher: Each eligible participant will receive a $1,000 voucher to purchase a qualifying e-bike from a participating local bike shop. The $1,000 will be deducted from the purchase price of the e-bike at the point of sale.
• Street Skills Class: To ensure participants are safe and confident cyclists, they must complete the Alamo Area Metropolitan Planning Organization’s (AAMPO’s) Street Skills class, covering bike safety and riding essentials.
• Voucher Redemption: After the class, participants can redeem their voucher at a participating local bike shop to select a qualified e-bike.
• Ongoing Support: Participating bike shops will ensure proper e-bike selection, provide service, and assist with any necessary documentation after voucher redemption.
