Disposal of Ammunition and Firearms

Ammunition can be taken to any local police substation for disposal. To dispose of firearms, you may contact the non-emergency police at (210) 207-7273 to request an officer out to pick them up and dispose of them properly.

District 9 will be holding a safe surrender of firearms and ammunition.  The Voluntary Weapons Xchange event will allow anyone to safely surrender firearms and ammunition in exchange for an H-E-B gift card.

The event is happening on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at the Alamodome (100 Montana St.) Parking Lot B off of Cherry Street from 12 to 5pm.

All surrendered firearms and ammunition will be destroyed.
