The City's Neighborhood and Housing Services Department has launched a new Housing Assistance Program (HAP) for rental and mortgage assistance for residents who are experiencing financial hardship and housing instability. Rental/Mortgage assistance is only available for residents within the City of San Antonio. The new Housing Assistance Program (HAP) application can be accessed through the online portal here: https://www.sanantonio.gov/NHSD/Programs/FairHousing

If you require assistance with the online process, there are Benefits Navigators with the Department of Human Services (DHS) available to assist. To make an appointment with a team member for help in filling out an application, you may contact the Benefits Navigator Program, by calling (210) 206-5372 or online:  https://www.sanantonio.gov/humanservices/FinanceEmergency/financialempowerment
