The Rental Assistance Program will accept applications on the second Wednesday of each month beginning at 1 p.m. Once the maximum number of applications are received, the portal will close. Rental assistance is limited and is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Apply online or view more information here.

To check the status of your application, please call 210-207-5910 and hold for a 311 Customer Service Representative.  You can also check online at https://dhs.mendixcloud.com/p/housingappstatus. Please allow 30 business days from the date of the application to receive an update.

Resident Relocation Assistance -This program is designed to provide relocation assistance to low-income households impacted by financial hardship and housing instability. You may apply online here.

The Health and Human Services commission has launched the Texas Housing Assistance line as a resource to help people facing housing instability or homelessness, with a focus on people dealing with mental health or substance use issues. You may reach them 24 hours a day/7 days a week, by calling 1-855-802-0014.
