This service request addresses alley ways which have overgrown vegetation in excess of 12" and/or have litter and/or low hanging tree limbs. Property owners are responsible for maintaining their alleys up to 50% of the alley to the next adjacent property.
The city will investigate within 3 working days to confirm the presence of excess overgrowth, trash/debris or low hanging limbs. The city may address the concern by issuing a notice or by proceeding with the process to abate the overgrowth, debris or low hanging limbs. After the initial inspection, the city is required to provide property owners 7 days to address the concern. The city will work diligently to get the property into compliance within 45 working days.
The city will also investigate alley concerns such as:
- House Numbering Displayed (alleys)
- Overgrowth, Trash and Debris
- Drainage Issues
- Potholes
