The First Responders Homebuyer Assistance Program (FRHAP) provides assistance to City of San Antonio full-time eligible uniform police and firefighter employees by making a $10,000 or $20,000 (0% interest/No payments 2nd) loan. The second loan can be used for any combination of the down-payment required by your lender and some of the additional costs associated with purchasing a home. The loan will be forgiven over a 5-year terms of assistance period. Homes located within the San Antonio City limits are eligible for $10,000; Only homes located in the Community Revitalization Action Group (CRAG) area are eligible for $20,000.
