The City of San Antonio requires all City and State licensed contractors be registered with Development Services prior to the issuance of any permit(s). First time contractors registering with the City will need to register in person. Development Services will also help you obtain or renew your City issued licenses or contractor registration during regular business hours.
Registration requirements vary depending on the type of license or registration you hold. Some licenses/registrations require the contractor to provide a bond or maintain insurance coverage at all times. Please refer to the trade category for the type of work you will be performing to find out what the insurance and registration requirements are.
