Saving...
San Antonio Parks and Recreation offers the Neighborhood Fishing' Program at several area parks. Texas Parks and Wildlife also regularly stocks lakes and ponds located in San Antonio parks as part of their Community Fishing Lakes program.
A valid fishing license with a freshwater stamp endorsement is required to take fish or other aquatic life from the public waters of Texas. Recreational fishing licenses and stamp endorsements can be purchased at local sporting goods stores, gun shops, department stores, discount stores, bait and tackle shops, grocery stores or at the local Texas Parks and Wildlife Office, 858 W. Rhapsody. For added convenience, recreational licenses may be purchased by phone at (210) 348-7375 or online. The cost is $30 annually.
