Pools inspected by Metro Health include:

- A Semi-public swimming pool is any privately owned swimming pool or spa which is open to the general public for a fee. Any swimming pool or wading pool, spa or sauna serving a private club, motel, hotel, apartment building, school, child care facility, recreational or physical fitness facility, institution, home owner’s association, or other similar activity or structure, the use of which is limited to members, residents, students, or clients and their guests.
A Metro Health Inspector will investigate complaints for a commercial/public swimming pool or spa within 4 working days to ensure all pools and spas meet all regulations in accordance with Metro Health procedures.
Code Enforcement Services will investigate Residential Pools (pools at a private residence) within 3 working days to confirm if untreated water has accumulated in the residential pool. The City is required to provide property owners 10 days to address the concern. The City will work diligently to get the property into compliance as quickly as possible or refer the property to the building standards board within 120 working days.
Pools/Water Features inspected by Parks and Recreation include Public Pools/City Pools (any swimming pool, spa or sauna which is open to the general public) will be investigated within 7 working days.
