Food Manager/Food Handler Training

All employees who work at a food establishment are required to obtain a food handlers certificate. To obtain a food handler certificate the individual must first take a food handlers certification course that is approved by the State of Texas.

Food establishments must have at least one Certified Food Manager on site at all times while the food establishment is open.

Food Manager certifications no longer need to be registered with Metro Health.
