The Parks and Recreation Board provides liaison with the community on issues affecting the Parks and Recreation Department. Board Members serve in an advisory capacity on issues pertaining to park facilities, recreational programming, passive and active green space, grant opportunities, and special projects. This body works collaboratively with departmental staff to ensure effective implementation of strategic initiatives and to enhance the quality of life for the community. The board's regularly scheduled meetings are the fourth Monday of every other month at 5:30 p.m. at the City Tower, 100 W. Houston.
