Funeral homes are responsible for the ordering of death certificates and Burial Transit Permits for their clients.
All Burial Transit Permits must be signed by the local registrar. Funeral homes can either print a BTP themselves if it qualifies or make a request to the Vital Records Office to have the BTP created.
