The Diwali SA Festival of lights celebrates Indian culture and traditions, while also showcasing the City's Sister-City Agreement with Chennai, India and its efforts to provide quality cultural programming to San Antonians and tourists alike. A variety of folk dances done from the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, home to San Antonio Sister City of Chennai.
This year the celebration will take place on November 1, 2025 at Arneson Theatre and Hemisfair in San Antonio.
The free festival features a variety of events, including a parade, music, dance, vendors, and a grand fireworks display. It's a celebration of the sister-city relationship between San Antonio and Chennai, India, and a way to share Indian culture with the community.
