Please note: There is no permit or license issued for an unaltered dog. The City requires all dogs to be implanted with a registered microchip in place of the old City license. A dog is not required to be altered unless the dog is loose off the owners property. If the dog is able to get off the property or is not fully contained, it is then considered a nuisance and the owner is REQUIRED by City ordinance to get the dog altered/sterilized.
