Vector Control will NOT investigate complaints nor remove bees on public property. If there is a safety/health concern please call non-emergency Fire at (210) 207-7744.
Bees on private property are the responsibility of the property owner. The SAFD only handles swarming bees on public property in Extreme cases. Any bee/wasp related problems on private property will have to be taken care of by the resident.
Residents may contact the American Honey Bee Protection Agency for assistance in removing honey bees from private property. They are a non-profit organization. There is no fee required, however, monetary donations are gladly accepted. The contact person is Walter Schumacher at (512) 914-0123.
